This scheme for Applied Biosystems, involved the fit out of an existing 40,000ft² office building over 3 floors. The fit out works included laboratory and training facilities on the ground floor area, with both open plan and cellular office space on the remaining floors. The laboratory area involved sampling of DNA and required closely controlled environmental parameters, such as temperature and air quality.

This project involved the building of a new laboratory facility at Southlands High School in Cheshire. The building included 4No new science teaching laboratory class rooms. Services included HVAC installations as well as laboratory gas and water supplies. Services were also provided for a mobile fume cupboard, which could be used in various locations.

The Directors of Viridian have been involved with the redevelopment of the old Marconi site for approximately 10 years. One project involved the fit out of a number of separate office demises including a fit out for Marconi Selenia. This particular fit out involved specialist mechanical and electrical services installations as the works on site involved testing and manufacture of components for the MOD.

Both Directors of Viridian spent several months based at Glaxo’s offices in Speke, working on various new build and refurbishment projects. These projects ranged from air lock installations to existing laboratories, to new laboratory and drug production facilities.

As part of their duties, they were responsible for completion of all the necessary installation and operation quality checks, which were required by the FDA.
