This project involved the refurbishment of this Grade II listed office building to a CAT A standard. The main challenge was the introduction of heating and cooling installations, within a low floor to ceiling height, in sympathy with the architecturally sensitive building.

This involved the fit out of a number of separate office demises throughout the business park, for companies such as John Moores University, Aimes and various office refurbishments for letting purposes.

These projects involved the adaption of existing and provision of new Mechanical, Electrical and Sprinkler installations to suit the proposed layout.

Viridian was responsible for the complete refurbishment of this Grade II listed office building, which was a warehouse in its previous life. This involved the installation of heating and comfort cooling systems within the space, whilst maintaining the listed internal features. Lighting, small power and fire alarm installations were also provided to the space. Floor box locations were pre-determined with the incoming tenant, however, these remained flexible to accommodate any future layout changes.

John and Paul were responsible for the MEP and sprinkler installation design for the refurbishment of the Grade I Listed banking hall and design of new installations for the 14 storey tower, providing grade ‘A’ office accommodation. Viridian has since been involved in the fit out of various office spaces and refurbishments since then.

The Colony business park located in Wilmslow and comprises 20,000 square feet of business space. In addition, a members-only business club is to be provided, complete with workspaces, event spaces and meeting rooms. In-floor heating and cooling units have been provided to condition the space, utilising low velocity diffusers which maximise the floor space future flexibility.
